          <p xml:lang="en">Project partners have granted the Institute for Habsburg and Balkan Studies of the Austrian Academy of Sciences permission to publish facsimile data within the QhoD project. Employees of this publically funded institution took images of archival sources or collected digitized items, and created descriptive metadata. The contents of the archival sources are not subject to copyright restrictions under Austrian law (Urheberrechtsgesetz), as the creators both of their ideal contents and their documentary material objects passed away more than 70 years ago (§§60-61 UrhG), and these materials are considered documents for official use (§7 UrhG).         <ab xml:id="ab.2">Report of the <rs ref="#mpr9435" type="person">ambassador’s</rs> visit to <rs
            type="person">the agha of the janissaries</rs>. <date type="Hijri"
            when="1720-04-19">On the tenth day of the month, a Thursday</date>, <rs ref="#mpr9435"
            type="person">the Austrian ambassador</rs> visited <rs
            type="person">the Agha of the Janissaries, Mehmed Agha</rs>. Before the <rs ref="#mpr9435"
            type="person">ambassador</rs> came, the big room had been
                    adorned with flowers and fruits. For the <rs
            ref="#mpr9435"
            type="person">ambassador</rs>’s ride from the pier to the gate, a fully equipped horse
                    was dispatched, while for his noblemen twenty saddled horses were dispatched.
                    When the <rs
            ref="#mpr9435"
            type="person">ambassador</rs> arrived at six o’clock
                    and entered the big room, <rs
            type="person">the janissary agha</rs> came inside
                    the room through the other door. The two men then went up [to the room where the
                    reception would take place]. <rs
            type="person">The agha</rs> sat down on his
                    post and the <rs ref="#mpr9435"
            type="person">ambassador</rs> sat down on his
                    right-hand side on a cushion. Afterwards, sweets and coffee were served,
                    followed by the performance of vocalists and musicians. Then, [the group]
                    transferred to Tekeli Pavilion where wrestlers performed. The vocalists
                    performed again. Next, the dancer boys of the gardeners’ branch (<foreign xml:lang="tr">bāġçıvān ḳolu</foreign>) performed many games on the lower
                    maidan. After the meal was eaten, [the following were presented]:</ab>
