Translation of the letter sent to the fortunate and felicitous grand vizier× by the ceaser of Austria×.

To our esteemed, fortunate, and affectionate sincere friend, the peace and accord, convened, confirmed, and fortified by the grace of God, and finally, to the great delight of both realms' subjects, ratified and visibly strengthened by grand embassies on both sides, has now been fully accomplished and completed in accordance with its purpose. Thereafter, with our permission for departure and return, the illustrious İbrahim Pasha× returned to the Ottoman lands; he will report [to you] the fulfillment of his duties as ambassador.

The aforementioned ambassador× has clearly conveyed to us your attention and care for this blessed peace and accord. If you remain steadfast in your praiseworthy intentions, as befitting your rank, and continue your efforts with the same diligence toward maintaining the mutual well-being of the two states, then we have no doubt that the subjects will remain in the desired tranquility until the end of the agreed period and, by the grace of God, perhaps even for a longer time.

Likewise, on our side, the aforementioned ambassador× has witnessed, with great appreciation, our good will and sincere inclination toward this peace and accord; he can provide further details on this matter. It is certain that we will be pleased to hear of his respectful treatment upon his return, and that he will be rewarded according to his merit for having diligently completed his ambassadorial duties.

May the affirmation and strengthening of love and friendship endure. Written in the city of Vienna× in the year 1700, in the forty-third year of our reign as emperor of Rome, the forty-sixth year of our reign as king of Hungary, and the forty-fifth year as king of Bohemia, in mid-October. Leopold× .
