Project partners have granted the Institute for Habsburg and Balkan Studies of the Austrian Academy of Sciences permission to publish facsimile data within the QhoD project. Employees of this publically funded institution took images of archival sources or collected digitized items, and created descriptive metadata. The contents of the archival sources are not subject to copyright restrictions under Austrian law (Urheberrechtsgesetz), as the creators both of their ideal contents and their documentary material objects passed away more than 70 years ago (§§60-61 UrhG), and these materials are considered documents for official use (§7 UrhG). It is with the utmost friendship that I write to inform you. My loyal and since friend, following your departure, your son, who had remained here due to some illness and affliction, has, praise be to Almighty God, recovered and is now in good health and well-being. He is currently on his way towards you, and thus this letter of affection has been written. Should there have been any shortcomings in our hospitality due to human nature and the multitude of preoccupations, I trust that, in accordance with the firm and enduring friendship established between us, you will forgive and overlook this, keeping our bond intact. I would be grateful if you could continue to share news of your health and well-being whenever you think of it, as such tidings would undoubtedly bring great joy (to us).
