After requesting audiences for his departure, Oettingen-Wallerstein is astonished to learn everything has already been arranged by the Ottomans, meaning he now has not much time left to settle and complete matters, fearing he might have to accept unfinished negotiations.;
Regarding the freed prisoners set to travel home by ship Oettingen-Wallerstein was once again deceived, the departure is still delayed on ever changing pretexts.;
The grand ambassador expresses his joy about the emperor's promise to reimburse him for his expenses regarding the prisoners and instructs Vienna where to send the money.;
Oettingen-Wallerstein once again reassures the emperor of his loyalty and trustworthiness, explaining he never wanted to enrich himself and promising once again to send detailed receipts via count Sinzendorf.;
Regarding the border in Novi Grad Oettingen-Wallerstein received reports and news from both the emperor and Marsigli but says he won't manage to achieve anything in the short time remaining for him.;
Similarly he cannot hope to achieve anything regarding Imre Thököly until Baron Paget returns from Bahceköy to hand him the protocol from Karlowitz and the four Hungarians, who issued a plea to the emperor via Oettingen-Wallerstein before, left with the Polish-Lithuanian embassy.;
Regarding the signed peace between the Tsardom of Russia and the Ottoman Empire, Oettingen-Wallerstein reports he can not manage to get a copy of the terms, stating the Ottomans seem eager to keep the deatils secret to not provoque civil unrest, since they gave in to almost all demands of the Russians.;
Oettingen-Wallerstein expresses his hopes that the Patriarch of Antioch is happy with his achieved results.;
Regarding the debts the city of Debrecen and the estates of Transylvania owe Alexandros Mavrokordatos, the grand ambassador thinks the emperor should have forced the debtors to settle things while he was still in Constantinople to transfer payments and thinks his absence will complicate things.;
On the issue of a potential future Resident or Internuntius Oettingen-Wallerstein reinforces his old advice and expresses his gratitude for the emperor pledging to pay the owed salaries of a late interpreter's widow. He hopes the widow might even help with freeing prisoners and the future work of the Austrian Residentur.;
Two 'Sprachknaben' have no home in Constantinople at the moment and Oettingen-Wallerstein hopes a new Resident would fix that, stating that the interpreters are not welcome in the English embassy though the ambassador is friendly towards the Habsburgs and that the Dutch embassy burned down and cannot accomodate them.;
Regarding his travel back to the border Oettingen-Wallerstein worries he might not be able to make the set date for the border exchange in the face of disease on the way and having to exhaust his horses due to not enough time for resting days.;
The grand ambassador reports that the prince of Moldavia has been deposed and substituted by Antioh Cantemir, who payed the sultan, stating that it is obvious in how much financial trouble the Ottomans still are.;
Oettingen-Wallerstein complains about the ongoing discrimination and persecution of Christians, giving the example of a mosque damaged by lightning being repaired and expanded by tearing down and disowning Christians livign nearby.;
Finally he requests the emperor to pay his pending salaries to his wife.
