Abstract
Oettingen-Wallerstein reports that during the Polish-Lithuanian ambassadors re-visit they talked about the war in Livonia and the grand ambassador deduced that no territorial gains will be demanded there. Rzewuski also asked for advice regarding the issue of Christian prisoners, since he had a violent incident at his residence because of it and he stated to take on the Polish prisoners after all of them were freed and not just the first batch.; Oettingen-Wallerstein states he finally managed to have a passport issued for the Capuchin priest trying to get to Persia.; The grand ambassador corrects former ill-informed reports about sultan Mustafa II latest children and their mothers, a young princess died while a son was born and Constantinople was in mourning for a few days.; Regarding the suspected upcoming ceasefire with the Russian Tsardom, Oettingen-Wallerstein reports that he is no longer sure of the matter and that the rumors change every day. A Russian ship trying to pass the Bosporus was stopped and prisoners on board taken without consent were reclaimed.; A French ship arrived with instructions regarding the diplomatic dispute and conflict about Ferriol trying to wear his arms during the audience, though Oettingen-Wallerstein does not know about the nature of said instructions but suspects them to be conforming to the Ottoman demands since the French ambassador had a visit with the grand vizier shortly after.; Oettingen-Wallerstein states this letter should have been sent earlier, but he held it back due to the confusion and back and forth of the prisoner issue.; After an invitation thereto, the grand ambassador attended Mustafa II public entry to a mosque due to a muslim holiday and used the opportunity to visit the Polish-Lithuanian ambassador nearby. He explains that he has to use every opportunity like that due to the extraordinary cost, time consumtion and the risk of ferrying his retinue over the Golden Horn each time.; Count Adolph von Sinzendorf died after long illness and Oettingen-Wallerstein requests the emperor to care for his widow and children, since the Habsburg state was indebted with the count.; Lastly, Oettingen-Wallerstein reports that the nobles on pilgrimage to Jerusalem have reached Chios.
