Abstract
Oettingen-Wallerstein reports about his further travel route from Belgrade on the Danube and states that the grand embassy has safely arrived in Calafat/Vidin.;
The grand ambassador writes about a thunderstorm that hit the embassies ships in Calafat, which capsized or sunk eleven ships, some of whom could be recovered. Oettingen-Wallerstein stresses the efforts made by the Ottomans to ensure the embassy travels on without much delay.;
The sunken or capsized ships' cargo could be disembarked in time and although a ship carrying the gifts for the Ottoman court sunk, only a few barrels of wine were lost. Oettingen-Wallerstein also comments on the impact of the thunderstorm on the common folk.;
In between the grand ambassador congratulates the emperor on the birth of his grand-daughter arch-duchess Maria Josepha. ;
Oettingen-Wallerstein finishes his report by once again reaffirming his request for additional clocks as gift for Ottoman officials in Constantinople and suggests how to safe money on this issue in the future.
