The question of the border in Croatia is still open as the Ottoman Grand Ambassador is awaiting a messenger from the venue with information on the current situation. Until then, no negotiations are possible.;
The Ottoman Grand Ambassador tried to delay the exchange of prisoners by stating he was still lacking instructions. When he was confronted with the results of Oettingen-Wallerstein's negotiations with the Grand Vizier, he gave up this strategy. Orders were already given to welcome the Christian prisoners in Petrovaradin. Unfortunately, a mistake happened with the Ottoman prisoners. The first ship was not checked before the departure and the documents to cross the border were not issued. This was only discovered on their arrival in Petrovaradin and the prisoners were held back until the documents arrived. The commander of Petrovaradin should have informed Oettingen-Wallerstein about this incident, which unfortunately he did not. He is now instructed to report to Oettingen-Wallerstein as well. The next ship with Ottoman prisoners is already on the way.
