Abstract
Izdénczy asks for travel equipment (boat, carriage, horse), precious objects as gifts, and suitable clothing and provisions for the members of the mission. He leaves it to the Aulic Chamber to decide in what currency he will receive the necessary funds, but asks that the exchange rates currently prevailing in the Ottoman Empire be taken into account. In view of the expected high expenses, he asks for at least 1,500 gulden per month for the entire duration of the mission, possibly for a year in advance, and guarantees to compensate him for any damage he may suffer in the meantime, as his estates had already been damaged during Gábor Bethlen’s campaign.
