Abstract
Kurtz informs Althan that the Ottomans have detained him in Buda due to the raids of the border troops from Győr and Komárom. An increasingly large army is gathering in Buda to retaliate for the offenses. His stay there incurs significant expenses. The pasha has shown him Althan’s letter, in which the count promises to be at the border soon to resolve the conflict. Kurtz requests that Althan informs him through the courier presenting this letter of the exact time when this will occur.
