Now that your majesty’s captains have come to the soil and territory of our happy emperor in this manner and with such a multitude of people to do harm and evil there, this is unequivocally against the general peace and good tranquility, and we do not think that these are such wicked people that one could be excused and say that they went out to do harm without the prior knowledge of your majesty’s border chiefs and captains. Although they have now attacked our men with great force, they have nevertheless found their deserved reward and punishment through the help of God. Without delay the said Malkotch was taken prisoner in the territory and country of his highness. If your Majesty has the desire and wish for the prolongation and permanence of peace and good tranquility, your Majesty shall release the said Malkotch without delay.
