Abstract
Accompanying letter of similar content to Selim II’s reply to Maximilian II, in which the former argues for an extension of the peace as long as Maximilian’s subjects do not violate it. In his letter, the Grand Vizier also expresses the wish that a tapicht (?) and a pansechr (armor) be sent as gifts.

Project partners have granted the Institute for Habsburg and Balkan Studies of the Austrian Academy of Sciences permission to publish facsimile data within the QhoD project. Employees of this publically funded institution took images of archival sources or collected digitized items, and created descriptive metadata.
